In this section, we provide information which we hope will be useful and interesting to individuals and organisations seeking contact with the Duchy.

The Duchy is a constitutional monarchy reigned by the Duke of Courland and his board of advisers, the Ducal Council. The Duchy, or Curonia, as the Duchy of Courland is also known as, has the vision of bringing time tested concepts such as the solid moral values of the Knightly Virtues, or the ideas of the Enlightenment together with modern ideas, such as Humanism. Its aim is to create a society which grows through the self-development of its members. This means instead of having hordes of workers that can be arbitrarily replaced, the Duchy believes in supporting its citizens, and offering them a unique and individual place in society.
Our values, ideals and principles are meant to support the development of the individual, and are meant to help making Curonia a wonderful, friendly place to be.

Tolerance, courtesy, chivalry, acceptance and peacefulness are ideals which we Curonians also want to offer to other nations. This does not mean that we will accept provocation, but it means that we are open to a sensible and constructive dialogue.
Etiquette plays an important role in our society, and we would be very grateful if individuals and foreign dignitaries, that wish to seek contact with us, would do us the honour of learning about these rules in our society. A topic that will explain our courtly etiquette will be added to this embassy section shortly.

We invite every nation or individual to ask any questions they might have, or to make any statement that they would like share. Curonia and its representatives would be more than happy to respond.
